By Barca Blog - Most of us can remember (or would like to forget) the last time Vanderbilt took the court at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla. The Commodores were stunned by 13th-seeded Siena, 83-62, in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
Vanderbilt returns to to the scene of the crime tonight for its SEC Tournament first round matchup with Alabama.
“There’s definitely some bad memories in that gym,” sophomore center A.J. Ogilvy told The City Paper. “I’m trying not to worry about that. If we get a win, it will be nice to erase that memory, but I try not to concentrate on the past."
Over half of this year's squad didn't even participate in that season-ending game. Here's hoping the tide changes at St. Pete starting tonight at 6:30 p.m. CT.
