Vanderbilt baseball Friday starting lineups

by SID - The skies have cleared a bit at Plainsman Park in Auburn and we should get this game going on time. The big news in tonight's lineup is the return of Andrew Giobbi. He returns to the starting lineup exactly a month after breaking his hand against Vermont on Feb. 27. The Portland, Maine, product will make his first career start in right field for the Dores.

Overcast at 64 degrees with 85% humidity.

1. Brian Harris SS
2. Riley Reynolds 2B
3. Steven Liddle CF
4. Curt Casali 1B
5. Aaron Westlake DH
6. Andrew Giobbi RF
7. Joe Loftus LF
8. Jason Esposito 3B
9. Drew Fann C
SP: Mike Minor - LHP (1-2, 3.41 ERA)

Last weekend the Dores had trouble with the lefthanded duo of James Paxton and Chris Rusin. Tonight's starter is Grant Dayton, a sophomore southpaw with a 2-2 record and 2.67 ERA. He has 34 strikeouts and nine walks in 33.2 innings. Should be a good matchup against Mike Minor in what could turn out to be a pitcher's duel.
