Drew Fann Grand Slam

By SID - A week or so ago I wrote a blog about the catching situation and how Aaron Westlake would be backed up by Drew Fann until Andrew Giobbi returned from injury. The most notable thing about Fann playing wise til today was his homer off of freshman Sonny Gray in the Black and Gold intrasquad series in the Fall.

Well in the eighth inning against Lipscomb, Fann delivered a grand-slam homer on the first pitch in his first collegiate at-bat. Pretty neat deal for a hard-working kid like Fann and certainly a memory he won't ever forget.
