Updated SEC Standings after Thursday

by Barca Blog - Even with Vanderbilt suffering an 8-6 loss to Tennessee Thursday night, the Commodores' magic number to reach the 2009 SEC Tournament was reduced to one after Florida handled Kentucky 10-3 in Gainesville. Any combination of one Vanderbilt win or one Kentucky loss in the next two days sends the 'Dores to Hoover next week.

VU can still finish as high as seventh in the standings -- only if they win the final two against the Vols and Ole Miss completes a sweep of Arkansas.

Thursday's Results
Auburn 3, Alabama 2 (10 innings)
LSU 5, Mississippi State 4
South Carolina 7, Georgia 2
Tennessee 8, Vanderbilt 6
Ole Miss 7, Arkansas 5
