by Barca Blog - Two games are in the books in Hoover and the lower seeds have had the early advantage. No. 6 seed Georgia joined No. 7 seed Arkansas in the winner's bracket after the Bulldogs outlasted No. 3 seed Ole Miss, 6-3, Wednesday afternoon.
Like the Razorbacks, UGA had been struggling the last few weeks, losing 10 of their last 11 conference games. But like they say, tournament time brings new life and these two ball clubs -- once ranked No. 1 in the polls -- are back on track after plummeting in the standings to close the regular season.
Let's hope the lower seed trend continues for the Commodores against top-seeded LSU. For the record, the No. 1 seed has lost their tournament opener for three straight years. Of course, that has nothing to do with the teams on the field right now.. but it's still worth noting for those following at home.
