by Barca Blog - We officially entered the second to last weekend of SEC regular season play Friday... and here are the results from the series openers.
Five of the six matchups were completed, with only the Kentucky/Auburn contest being cancelled due to rain. The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday.
LSU moved into sole possession of first place with a win over Florida combined with Ole Miss' loss at Mississippi State. Also, Vanderbilt closed within a half game of South Carolina for the seventh spot.
