Sunday baseball update from Columbia

by SID - Pretty nice day in Columbia. Mostly cloudy and 78 degrees. There has been some changes in the lineup as the coaches are trying to get guys going at the plate. Caleb Cotham (5-4, 4.84 ERA) will get the start on the mound and will look to hold the South Carolina offense at bay.

1. Steven Liddle RF
2. Riley Reynolds 2B
3. Curt Casali 1B
4. Aaron Westlake DH
5. Andrew Giobbi C
6. Brian Harris SS
7. Jason Esposito 3B
8. Jonathan White CF
9. Joe Loftus LF
P Caleb Cotham

The team is wearing the gold pinstripe jerseys with black underneath. Despite what has happened the last two days, this game is significant as a Vanderbilt win would put the team ahead of South Carolina in the league standings. The Arkansas game that was canceled could play a huge role in the team's SEC tourney chances. In this scenario the one less game would help, but there are also several ways it could hurt. How things play out is still very much in the air, so a win here would be huge.
