Photos: 2010 Black and Gold Banquet

by Barca Blog

Vanderbilt's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held its annual Black and Gold Banquet on campus Monday night.

You could call the event the sports version of the Oscars on West End.

While there wasn't a red carpet in front of the Student Life Center, that didn't stop student-athletes from arriving in their best outfits. They were treated to a catered dinner followed by an awards ceremony and a highlight video.

Overall, it was a nice night for student-athletes to reflect on the year with their peers, especially with exams just around the corner.

Photographer Steve Green was on the scene to capture these photos for your viewing pleasure.

Here's a list of the winners, which were voted on by the SAAC. Feel free to debate the choices.

  1. It is a privilege and honor to know such an outstanding athlete, scholar, and person as Thomas Davis. Congrats Thomas and best wishes as you further your career in Med School at Vandy, and you are so deserving of the awards received at the Black and Gold Banquet.
