Vanderbilt's offense took out its frustrations on a struggling Georgia squad with a 17-5 rout of the Bulldogs Friday night at Hawkins Field.
It was the first time the Commodores have scored 17 runs in a Friday night conference game since they accomplished the same feat against UGA in 1992.
The offensive explosion also gave starting pitcher Taylor Hill his first conference win on the season. Hill had only given up 5 earned runs in his previous three starts, but didn't have a 'W' to show for his efforts due to a lack of run support. That wasn't the case tonight.
