With the win over Florida, Vanderbilt officially clinched a first-round bye in next week's SEC Tournament and at least a No. 2 seed in the Eastern Division.
At the moment, the Commodores (12-3 SEC) trail Kentucky (12-2) by a 1/2 game in the division. VU could still earn the top seed (and outright championship) if (a) they beat South Carolina on Saturday and (b) the Wildcats lose to Georgia on Wednesday (in Athens) and Florida on Sunday (in Lexington).
If Vanderbilt defeats the Gamecocks and Kentucky splits their games, they would be co-champions, but UK would earn the No. 1 seed in the East because they hold the head-to-head tiebreaker.
There are a limited number of seats available for VU's regular season finale since the students are on Spring Break. It would be great to see the Gym packed to celebrate the career of senior Jermaine Beal as well as the accomplishments of this team. Click Here to purchase your tickets online today.
