Baseball injury update

By SID

We have injury updates on veteran starters Curt Casali, Brian Harris and Aaron Westlake.

Casali has a hamstring injury and is expected to be out for two weeks. Both Harris (illness) and Westlake (bruised hand) are day-to-day with their recoveries.

Casali currently leads the Southeastern Conference in hitting with a .486 batting average with three homers, three doubles and 11 RBI.

Harris, a first-team All-SEC shortstop a year ago, is batting .345 with a homer and five RBI. The leadoff hitter has shown a knack of getting on base- walking 11 times, while also getting hit by a pitch seven times (.596 on base percentage).

Westlake, the SEC's leading hitter a year ago, is batting .295 with two homers, four doubles and 11 RBI.

All three have played a vital role in the Commodores 10-1 start this year.
