By Ryan Schulz - Vanderbilt signee Stephanie Holzer became the Commodores’ most recent McDonald’s All-American on Wednesday with the release of the rosters for the 2009 McDonald’s All-American Games.

The 6-foot-4 post player from Newtown Square, Pa., was one of just 24 girls selected to participate in the game, which divides the players into two teams, the East and West. Holzer will suit up for the West team in the game, which will be held April 1 at 4:30 p.m. CT at the University of Miami’s Bank United Center. The game will air live on ESPNU.

Holzer is one of four signees who will join Vanderbilt’s team for the 2009-10 season. She is averaging 19.5 points, 15.5 rebounds, and 3.2 blocks this season at Cardinal O’Hara High School.

The inaugural McDonald’s All-American Girls Game was held in 2002. Current Vanderbilt senior Christina Wirth played in the 2005 game.

The McDonald’s All-American Boys Game will be played at 7 p.m. CT.
