NCAA Baseball regional projections

by Barca Blog

For the second consecutive week, Kendall Rogers (Rivals.com) and Mark Etheridge (SEbaseball.com) have Vanderbilt as a No. 2 seed in their latest NCAA postseason projections.

Rogers still thinks the Commodores will be sent to Georgia Tech to start the tournament with Washington State and Ball State rounding out the regional.

Etheridge moved Vanderbilt from Atlanta to Louisville, which would serve as a rematch of last year's NCAA regional championship round. He also has Western Kentucky and Toledo in the bracket.

Overall, 64 teams are divided into 16 regionals that feature four teams playing in a double-elimination format. One team from each regional will advance to the super regional to play for the right to go to Omaha.

The Dores (33-12, 10-9 SEC) have three conference series remaining in the regular season. The NCAA Selection Show is scheduled for May 31, the Monday following the SEC Tournament.
