Vanderbilt started their regular season series finale on the right foot with a 4-3 win over Arkansas on Thursday night at Hawkins Field.
The Commodores can secure the No. 4 seed in the SEC tournament with a victory over the Hogs in one of their two remaining games. VU can finish no worse than sixth in the league.
Vanderbilt also has a chance to finish with the third best conference record overall in the following scenarios:
(a) Win final two games vs. Arkansas coupled with Ole Miss winning at least one against Auburn
(b) Split final two with Arkansas combined with Auburn losing next two to Ole Miss
The SEC tournament will be held from May 26-30 at Regions Park in Hoover, Ala.
