  1. Excited? yes. Suprised. no. I continue to be miffed at people who can not see how special this team is. Every one searches high and low for negative slants on the dores. " last year they lost" they still have not played anyone" "they lost to western" and on and on. Stop the disrespect these comments only make you sound stupid. go dores.

  2. Very excited to see Vanderbilt prove they can not only play well, but win, on the road in the SEC. This victory will bring some national attention to a very special team of young men. What an incredible job this coaching staff has done in recruiting and putting an exciting brand of basketball out on the court. It's the best sports value, by far, in Nashville. KY will prove a more difficult contest, but win or lose, this will undoubtedly be a season to remember.

  3. This is proof that the team is good. If they win Saturday, it would be proof that this team is...special.

The years that keep coming up are things like 1965 and 1974. I'm not saying, I'm just...saying.

  4. 1974_Compton_VBK_Fowler_Ligon_Fosnes_Feher and Ford. Coach Skinner. Most fun I've ever had watching serious hoop. Go 'Dores!

  6. I was there to see the Roy Skinner-coached team mentioned above. This (last Wed.)Tennessee win was almost as fun one of those home Tennessee wins (Ernie/Bernie/Ray Mears)back then when they stopped the game to sop up orange juice all over the floor. It was Tropicana a la Tennessee
Night at Memorial. Ray Mears was having a mental breakdown. The Vanderbilt crowd was the best ever. I could have sworn that Ernie Grunfeld lobbed an orange back at us.
I'm in Kentucky now and I'm hoping that we seriously demolish UK tomorrow.

  7. Vanderbilt just swept Tennessee tonight at Memorial by 19 points. Made my evening. I think I'll slice up an orange.
