Megan Grehan named as a National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar


By A. Boggs - Vanderbilt sophomore women’s golfer Megan Grehan was named as an All-American scholar by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) in an announcement made on Tuesday. Grehan, who is majoring in Human and Organizational Development, had a stroke average of 76.2 in 2008-09.

The National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar Teams for Division I, II & III were announced Tuesday with a total of 410 women’s collegiate golfers recognized with the prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
