It's been over eight months since Vanderbilt fell to Louisville in the NCAA Regional Baseball Championship.
The great thing about sports is that every year has a new beginning. The Commodores' quest for Omaha starts this weekend against Niagara at Hawkins Field.
Let's get behind the team to help them reach their ultimate goal. Your support means a lot more than you might think.
"Being a player, having fans in the stands is a boost," pitcher Sonny Gray said. "You're playing for Nashville and the University as well as the fans. It makes you want to do that much better. It means a lot to see a big crowd, especially when it's cold out there in February.
"Put on a heavy jacket and come out and support us. It's going to be a fun season. Hopefully it will be a season that we'll never forget. We've put in a lot of work in the offseason and it's nice when fans come out and show their support."
Season tickets packages are still available, so reserve your seats today.
If you can't make it this weekend, then watch the series live online on VUcommodores.com. Eric "Stooche" Jones will call the action on Friday (4 p.m. CT), Saturday (1 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.).
Check out SID's season preview and also the Niagara preview.
