by Barca Blog - Rookie receiver Sean Walker made a good first impression for the St. Louis Rams in Friday's preseason opener. The former Commodore caught a game-winning 13-yard touchdown pass from Keith Null midway through the fourth quarter as the Rams edged the New York Jets, 23-20, at Giants Stadium.
Walker, who is fighting to make the Rams roster, ended up with two catches for 18 yards. He talked to STLtoday.com earlier this week about what it would take to make the squad.
"Just show up every day and be consistent," Walker said. "Show them my speed. Make an impression by catching every ball, finishing every drill. And then in these preseason games, go in there and do everything right. Execute everything we've learned."
