Price check on ESPN tonight

By Barca Blog - Tampa Bay pitcher David Price made national headlines as a rookie last fall when he recorded the final four outs against Boston in Game 7 of the ALCS to lift the Rays to their first ever World Series appearance. Price will return to the hill tonight to face the Red Sox for the first time since that magical night... and Vanderbilt fans can watch the action live on ESPN at 6 p.m. CT.

"It's kind of where I put myself on the map last year, it was against these guys," Price told MLB.com. "It was fun, it was awesome. I wouldn't change anything that happened for the world."

Price (4-4) is coming off one of his strongest performances of the season, allowing only one run on five hits in seven innings to earn the victory against Kansas City last Friday. In 2009, he's been dominant at Tropicana Field, the site of tonight's game, with a 4-1 record and 2.67 ERA (compared with 0-3 and an 8.20 ERA on the road).
