2008 Rewind: No pressure

by Barca Blog - If you made your first career start in Vanderbilt's biggest game in decades, you'd feel the pressure, right?

That wasn't the case for quarterback Larry Smith.

"I was surprised that I wasn't really nervous," he admitted.

On his very first play from scrimmage in the Music City Bowl, Smith set the tone by connecting with senior receiver Sean Walker down the sidelines for a 51-yard gain.

"After that, I just settled down and played my game," Smith added.

Smith, who rotated with senior Chris Nickson, completed 10-of-17 passes for 121 yards and also rushed for 25 yards in the Commodores' 16-14 victory over Boston College.
