All drafted signees will come to school

by SID - The deadline for major league baseball clubs to sign their drafted players has come and gone and all of the 2008-09 signees will be on campus at the end of month. In addition, Drew Hayes (22nd round- Seattle), did not sign and will return for his senior season.

The following is the list of signees who were drafted and should be in school in the next few weeks. Sam Selman (14th round- Los Angeles Angels), Regan Flaherty (28th- Seattle), Michael Yastrzemski (36th round- Boston) and Nathan Dorris (45th- Atlanta).

  1. Vandy sure is developing a pipeline into New England. The Flaherty brothers and Yaz. Hoping for good things for the boys from up No'th.

  3. Need to commit to junior and senior players who have earned and worked very hard over the summer for playing time. The heart of the team and with the newcommers could jumpstart a great season. Continued concentration on new signees only will exclude those who deserve their time in the limelight start COACHING. It's not too late for a lot of them.
