What's on Tap for Sunday?

So, you might be thinking to yourself, "The Commodores finally arrived at Gaylord Opryland Hotel. What will they be doing today?"

Well, here's the answer.

The coaches were up at the crack of dawn this morning for staff meetings. The managers and trainers were also up early to get ready for player treatments in the training room. The team will have breakfast at 9 a.m. followed by chapel. Then it's off to McGugin for position meetings and practice.

The Commodores will return to the hotel later in the afternoon for a little down time before departing in the evening for the main event of the night -- The Official Welcome Party Onboard the General Jackson Showboat. The 300-foot paddlewheel riverboat, which boasts four massive decks with a beautiful two-story Victorian Theater, will take student-athletes, coaches and staff from both Music City Bowl teams down the Cumberland River for a night full of activities. Festivities will include a Rib Eating Contest (word is offensive lineman Joey Bailey will represent the 'Dores), a sports trivia challenge, and a top flight musical act. This event is invitation only, but we'll be sure to post everything that happened late tonight/early tomorrow.
