Thursday in New Haven

The women's basketball team plays Quinnipiac tonight at 7 p.m. ET (6 CT). Quinnipiac is located in Hamden, Connecticut, about 45 minutes south of Hartford. The team is staying on the Square in New Haven across from Yale. During a quick walk around the campus, Charlie Mattos and I ran across Vanderbilt Hall, erected in memory of William Henry Vanderbilt -- the grandson of our own Cornelius Vanderbilt and member of the Yale Class of 1893 -- who died of typhoid fever in 1892.
