Live from the Neyland Stadium pressbox
The Commodores fall to Tennessee 31-16 tonight in Neyland Stadium. Vanderbilt gave a good effort in the loss, they just couldn't come up with the big play.
I have posted a couple of quick notes from the loss in Knoxville tonight. Check out vucommodores.com for a post game recap, notes, stats and more.
Individual notes
** Mackenzi Adams, 19-of-35 for 174 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception. The 174 yards marked a season high as did the 19 completions
** Warren Norman finished the game with 152 all-purpose yards (73 rushing, 18 receiving, 61 return yards. Norman finishes the season with a Vanderbilt school record 1,941 all-purpose yards. Norman surpassed Herschel Walker's 29-year old SEC Freshman record for all-purpose yards in the first quarter. Two minutes later Norman broke Corey Harris' single season (1991) all-purpose yard mark of 1,827 yards.
** Ryan Fowler finished the game 3-for-3 on field goals tonight, putting him in a tie with Ricky Anderson for most made field goals in a single season. Anderson made 16-of-19 field goals in 1984.
** Jamie Graham, career-high 10 tackles, 2 pass break ups, 1 interception
