As a sequel to the workout video posted this morning of Chris Marve, Larry Smith, Sean Richardson and Warren Norman working out, here is a video from this afternoon's offseason workout where defensive tackle T.J. Greenstone set a new school record in the hang clean.
Greenstone topped his own school record of 405 lbs. in the lift by cleaning 410 lbs. this afternoon.

Video: Heavyweights or Bash Brothers?
By Travis Young
I caught up with Adam Smotherman and TJ Greenstone during a summer photo shoot in the weightroom to see what they were up to. The two interior defensive linemen were having some fun with the event as they tested the waters of singing Darius Rucker's "Alright" karaoke style. See video below (and check out David Rutz's feature on the duo).
The second video clip is with Vanderbilt professional staff photographer, John Russell. JR gets a quick lift in before the next photo shoot.

Westmeade Field Day

Earlier today, Commodore student-athletes hosted children from Westmeade Elementary for a Field Day at the Vanderbilt track & field complex. I dropped by to take some photos of the 100's of kids -- both big and small -- playing a variety of games on an absolutely beautiful day.
Often times, it was hard to tell who was having more fun -- the kids from Westmeade or the Vanderbilt students. The elementary kids were put in teams before making their way through a host of activities which included kickball, capture the flag, water balloons and box ball along with more traditional sports drills like football, soccer and basketball.
The morning ended with both sides saying their thank you's and enjoying pizza.

Intern Travis scored this groundbreaking interview with Santa and his Elf during the Vanderbilt Student-Athlete's annual holiday party last week. Thanks to football's Adam Smotherman and T.J. Greenstone for booking the duo from the North Pole. Watch the video below.
Also, if you missed Monday's blog on the event, click here.
