Reynolds loses in doubles at French Open

By Ryan Schulz – One year after advancing to the third round of doubles competition at the French Open, former Vanderbilt tennis star Bobby Reynolds was unable to repeat last year’s success as he and teammate Rajeev Ram fell in the first round on Wednesday.

The American duo was eliminated from the doubles draw by Andrei Pavel and Horia Tecau of Romania, 6-2, 7-5.

Reynolds’ loss in doubles play came one day after falling in the first round of the singles draw.

Reynolds is currently ranked No. 83 in singles and had a career-best ranking of No. 63 on Feb. 2. Reynolds and Ram are also ranked No. 47 in doubles.
