NPR: Vanderbilt jabs his way to the top

In case you're interested... On NPR's Morning Edition, Steve Inskeep talked with author T.J. Stiles about the life of Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt, the man who made the gift that founded Vanderbilt University in 1873.
 
Stiles tells many interesting stories including one about how court records show Cornelius won fist-fights well into his 50s.

Audio: Adam Smotherman interview

by Barca Blog - Junior defensive tackle Adam Smotherman talked with local media on Monday about Saturday's season finale at Tennessee.

Smotherman, a product of Smyrna High, is one of 19 Tennesseans on the Commodores' roster. He has a career-high 30 tackles this year, including three tackles for loss.

Lewis talked about several topics including the challenges of facing the Gators' high-powered offense in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The Pompano Beach, Fla., native also revealed who his favorite collegiate team was growing up.
