While in Baltimore for a three-game series, David Price met first lady Michelle Obama at a youth clinic at Camden Yards today. The meeting was due to an initiative by MLB and the White House to combat child obesity.
Here is a video of David, shot by the Rays, showing her how to pitch:

Price delivers at All-Star Game
by Barca Blog
David Price made the most of his first Major League All-Star appearance Tuesday night, even if pregame jitters tried to get in the way.
"I felt like I just had Thanksgiving dinner and was trying to pitch," said Price, who started the game for the American League. "It was fun. I was out there sweating. I couldn't really feel anything, my hand was just drenched. My glove felt like it was going to fall off."
The former Commodore overcame his nerves and set the tone early by tossing two scoreless innings in front of 45,408 at Angel Stadium. Price threw 23 pitches (16 for strikes) and only surrendered one hit while striking out one. He was also the only player to register triple digits on the radar gun, according to Steve Henson of Yahoo! Sports.
The National League won the game, 3-1, to earn their first All-Star victory since 1996.

Price throws complete game shutout

Price (3-1) threw a complete game shutout and Tampa Bay beat Toronto 6-0 on Sunday.
"Now I know what it takes," Price said. "I've been there and I've done that now. I've got that first little taste in my mouth. Now I want more. On this staff, five or six innings isn't enough. We want to go seven, eight or nine, and that's what these guys have been doing all year."

Price stifles Yankees in career-long effort
by Barca Blog (AP Photo)
Tampa Bay starter David Price shined in his season debut to lead the Rays past the New York Yankees, 9-3, Friday night at Tropicana Field.
Price (1-0) limited the defending World Series champions to three runs and seven hits while striking out seven in a career-high 7 2/3 innings.
"That was one of my better ones (in the majors)," the former Commodore said of his performance. "But there's always room for improvement."
-----------------
What they said about Price after the game:
Rays Manager Joe Maddon
"It had to be the best I've ever seen him. I haven't seen him a lot as a starter. Really sharp, came out of the chute with great fastball command, high velocity, and then he started adding in his curve, his slider and his changeup. He really pitched well, that's really encouraging. That was really fun to watch. ... He got the bullpen back in order in one day."
Yankees Catcher Jorge Posada
"He was outstanding. He threw some curveballs for a strike, some fastballs in and out. He mixed in some changeups and sliders. He has a very good arm."
Yankees First Baseman Mark Teixeira
"He really didn't make any mistakes. We hit a couple balls hard, but he pitched pretty darn well."

Tim Corbin Speaks at Mt. Juliet Rotary

It is always easy to hear the pride in Corbin's telling and re-telling of the stories of David Price's maturation as well as Sonny Gray's emergence as a leader on and off the field for the Dores. Corbin gets high marks for not only winning on the field, but for his ability during the recruiting process to find student-athletes with high character.
Incidently, Mt. Juliet has become a mini-pipeline for the Vanderbilt Baseball program in recent years. The brothers Shao, Matt and Stephen, were among the first in the Corbin era to contribute from Mt. Juliet High School. Caleb Cotham, a 2006 MJHS alumn, emerged to lead the Dores in wins (7) last year, while limiting opponents to a .222 batting average which was also tops on the staff. His loss will be felt in the weekend rotation after he signed in August with the Yankees as their fifth overall pick. Taylor Hill, fresh off of an impressive summer in the Cape pitching for Chatham, may be poised to take over for his prep and college teammate as the next Mt. Juliet product to shine on the diamond, perhaps even as an SEC weekend starter.

Price picks up fourth win
By Ryan Schulz - Former Commodore lefty David Price earned his fourth win of the season and second of July on Friday as Tampa Bay defeated Kansas City 8-2.
Price tossed seven innings of five-hit baseball, surrendering just one run, while walking two and striking out three. The seven innings pitched matched a career high for Price, who moved to 4-4 on the season.
The strong outing was much needed for Price after two of his previous four starts lasted three innings or less.

Price on center stage

While at Vanderbilt Price posted a historical career en route to being named the 2007 Consensus National Player of the Year and the first overall draft pick by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2007 draft. This last season, Price proved to be a valuable arm at the back end of Tampa Bay’s bullpen as he recorded the save in a memorable game seven against the Boston Red Sox, giving Tampa Bay its first American League Pennant.
