Coping with a cooker on the courts

With temperatures hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk and no immediate break in the heat in sight, Nashvillians have been forced to find ways to stay cool during these hot summer days.

Some have been fortunate to avoid the scorching temperatures by staying indoors, but others are forced to deal with the heat on a daily basis. Among the activities that have been affected by the extreme heat include Vanderbilt’s many camps that are taking place right now.

On Monday, Amanda Hara of News Channel 5 stopped by Vanderbilt’s tennis camp to visit with men’s tennis coach Ian Duvenhage and some campers to see how they are handling the heat.
