Kentucky's starter James Paxton (3-0, 3.86 ERA) ranks second in the SEC with 37 strikeouts in 23.1 innings. In Paxton's last start he struck out a career-high 14 batters in six innings of work in no decision at LSU.
Mike Minor is making his first appearance in exactly one week. In his last start, Minor allowed five earned runs scattering seven hits with three strikeouts in Friday loss to Ole Miss.
