Price named AL starter for All-Star Game

Coming off a stellar first half, former Commodore David Price has been named as the American League All-Star team's starter in Tuesday night's All-Star Game at Angel Stadium (7 p.m. CT / Fox).

At 24, Price will be the youngest pitcher to start in the Midsummer Classic since 23-year-old Dwight Gooden of the Mets earned the nod for the NL in 1988.

The young lefty is tied for the AL lead with 12 wins and has a 2.42 ERA.
